StartInBulgaria is a service operated by VLADKO EOOD, a company registered in Bulgaria (UIC: [YOUR_UIC]), with registered address in Sofia, Bulgaria. We provide company registration and corporate services for international entrepreneurs. For the purpose of the GDPR and the Bulgarian Personal Data Protection Act, VLADKO EOOD is the data controller.
2. Data we collect
Data you provide directly
When you use our services, we may collect: full name, date of birth, nationality, and address; passport or national ID details (for company registration filings); email address and phone number; desired company name (via our name-check tool); payment information (processed securely by our payment provider); and any documents you upload or send for the registration process.
Data collected automatically
IP address and approximate location, browser type and operating system, pages visited and time spent on site, and referring website.
3. How we use your data
We use your personal data to: process your company registration with the Bulgarian Trade Register; prepare and file legal documents on your behalf; register your company for VAT/VIES; open bank accounts on your behalf (when requested); communicate with you about registration progress; send service updates and invoices; improve our website and services; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your data based on: contract performance (fulfilling our service agreement); legal obligation (Bulgarian commercial law, tax regulations, anti-money laundering); legitimate interest (improving services, analytics, fraud prevention); and consent (newsletter and marketing, withdrawable at any time).
5. Who we share data with
We share your personal data only when necessary: the Bulgarian Trade Register and National Revenue Agency (required by law), banks (company account opening), notaries (document certification), accounting partners (if you use our recommended services), payment processors, and hosting/email providers.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your data with marketing or advertising companies.
6. Data retention
Active client data: retained for the service relationship plus 5 years. Company registration documents: 10 years after deregistration. Accounting records: 10 years (Bulgarian Accountancy Act). Website analytics: 26 months. Marketing consent: until withdrawn.
7. Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccuracies, request erasure (where no legal obligation applies), restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights. We respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies
